Submitting Homework

For off-campus USC DEN students, homework can be submitted via email, fax, or regular mail (if necessary). You may check your submitted homework by logging onto the DEN portal and selecting your course. To do this, you will select the "DEN Homework" link, and then select "Check Submitted Homework". ". Similarly to check you graded assignments, click on "Download Graded Homework & Exams".

Submitted homework posting is not instant, it is there to confirm that your homework has been processed within 24 hours and for you to check that your submission is complete in its content.

Programming Code, outputted in file-types such as "C", "Spice", "Matlab", "Txt", etc. will NOT be printed and should be sent directly to your course instructor and teaching assistant via e-mail.

All incoming homework is printed by the DEN Document Center for grading. Please review your assignment before submission by completing a "Print Preview" to make sure that it is formatted and readable for Letter-size paper output.

  • Email Homework
    • Using the current email coversheet is required. Please download the email coversheet. The email coversheet is available for download from the "DEN Homework" link in your main menu upon logging in to DEN, selecting your course, and filling out appropriate information. Each assignment requires a new email coversheet as there is custom information pertaining to the assignment.

Note: For those enrolled in multiple courses, you must download the coversheet pertaining to the correct course after you have selected your course upon log in. Please include a copy of the email homework coversheet available in the "DEN Homework" link as an attachment. Please ensure that all attachments are specifically named for the assignment (ex: do not name an attachment only "Homework.doc")

    • The Email Coversheet is in PDF format and must be inserted into your email as a separate attachment (i.e., if your homework is in PDF format do not insert the coversheet as the first page of your homework) from the rest of your homework. If your homework is zipped please keep the coversheet separate from the zipped attachments.

  • Fax Homework
    • Be sure to use the DEN Fax Cover Sheet AND Homework FAX paper to ensure your homework will be processed correctly. Upon logging in, the Fax Cover Sheet is available on the main menu under the link, DEN Homework. Please Note: If you are enrolled in more than one course, be sure to download the correct Fax Cover Sheet corresponding to the course you are enrolled in. Do NOT make any handwritten changes to the autofilled portions of the Fax Cover Sheet (those changes may be made in your profile).

    • For more information about DEN's Document Support Center can be found by clicking here.
