Tip [top]
If you suspect there is a problem with the video servers
or with the network, there's a good way to test this theory
and help isolate the problem. First, try connecting to another
site that offers streaming video. This can help determine
whether or not the problem is with your computer's configuration
or the local network. If the alternate site also is not
working, the problem is probably local and you should contact
your company's IT department (if applicable).

Course Video Lectures [top]
 |
DEN allows most course video lectures to be downloaded. Downloaded lectures are available through your DEN course web page after you logon under the Course Lectures link. DEN utilizes Windows DRM (Digital Rights Management) to protect downloaded content. Downloaded lectures still require a minimal Internet connection to attain initial license information for |
the protected file.
In some cases, your downloaded lecture will allow you to play
the file several times without requiring an Internet connection.
This is especially useful for portable viewing, such as on
a laptop while traveling.
SPECIAL
NOTE: You must play the file at least once with an Internet
Connection to acquire the license. Subsequent plays will not
require Internet connectivity. To
view the license status of your downloaded file, in Windows
Media Player open the file and in the menu bar, go to File
> Properties. You will then see the license information
for that file including the number of plays available remaining
before a license update is required from the Internet.
Download
files range in sizes between 200 MB - 800 MB. Below is an
approximate download time table based on connection speeds
to figure out how long your download will take.
Please note
the times here are just approximates and does not factor in
any delays or congestion on the networks or servers.
