There are two
main reasons for getting an error message. First, make sure
you are using the latest version of Media Player available (6.4 or higher).
Second,
if your company has a firewall, it is possible that it will
not accept the video's protocol (UDP). Please check with
your network administrator regarding the firewall's configurations
and to see if there is a proxy server set up for you. If
you are facing any problem watching the streaming video
you might want to check the proxy settings of the Windows
Media Player.
To enter your Proxy Hostname and Port Number (after checking
with your network administrator), do the following:
In
the Windows Media Player 6.4 "View" menu, go to
Options -> Advanced -> Change. Check the "HTTP"
check box and the "Use Proxy" radio box. Goto "Configure
Proxy Settings" and enter the name and the port number
of the proxy server.
In
Windows Media Player 7.1, "Tools" menu, go to Options
-> Network -> Configure. Select "Use the following
proxy server" and enter the address and the port number
of the proxy server.

Internet Explorer do I need to view USC Webcast's videos?[Top]
